Helpful Tips for Applying for a US Visa
If you are a citizen of Estonia, Finland, or any other European Union member country, you may be able to apply for a US visa using the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) online.
To qualify for an ESTA visa, you must have a valid passport from your home country and your travel plans must originate from one of the following countries: Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Spain, the United Kingdom.
In order to apply for a US visa through ESTA online you will need to provide your name (as it appears on your passport), date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy), place of birth (city and country), nationality (Estonian or Finnish), sex (male or female), occupation and address in Estonia or Finland. You will also need to upload a copy of your passport photo page and fill out a financial affidavit declaring that you have enough money to cover your travels and living expenses while in the United States.
Once you have completed the online application process and received an authorization code letter in the mail, you are ready to begin the visa application process. You will first need to schedule an appointment with a US Consulate General nearest to where you live.
