If you are a citizen of Barbados or the Bahamas and you want to visit Turkey, there are a few things you need to know before applying for a visa. Because Turkey is a Schengen country, visitors do not require a visa for stays of up to 90 days in any 180 day period. However, citizens of some other countries may need a visa if they plan on staying for more than 30 days. The best way to find out if you need a visa is to contact the Turkish embassy or consulate in your home country. If you are visiting family or friends in Turkey, then you do not need a tourist visa. But if you want to stay longer than 30 days, then you will need either an entry visa (for tourists only) or a residence permit.
