In general, to qualify for a tourist visa in India, applicants must meet certain requirements including having a valid passport and being able to provide evidence of funds sufficient to cover their stay in India. Applicants may also need to show that they are not carrying any weapons or explosives and will not be engaging in any criminal activity while in India.
For Indian business visitors, however, additional requirements may apply including demonstrating that the company is legitimate and has a legitimate business purpose in India. Additionally, companies seeking to conduct business with government entities or other major businesses will likely need to obtain special permission from Indian authorities beforehand.

-A valid passport that is at least six months beyond your intended stay
-Two photos, one with a recent passport size photo and one recent passport size photo taken within the last six months

Expenses and Restrictions on Payments
The expenses and restrictions on payments for Indian visa application are as follows:
Indian tourist visa applicants can apply for a visa at an Indian Embassy or Consulate-General. Fees for the applicant’s medical examination, police report, and other documentation vary according to the embassy or consulate where the application is made. The applicant must also pay a processing fee of USD 100.
The visiting foreign nationals are allowed to bring with them USD 1,000 per person in cash (or equivalent) and any additional funds needed for their stay in India. These funds must be deposited into an Indian bank account within 10 days of arrival in India. The Indian government has imposed restrictions on how much money foreigners can withdraw from local banks while they are in India. These restrictions are currently set at Rs 50,000 per day (approximately Rs 4 lakh per month).
Foreigners who hold a business visa must also comply with certain financial restrictions. For example, they are not allowed to open a bank account in India or make any payments beyond Rs 50,000 per month from their company’s operating budget.
