What is a Turkey Visa?
If you’re an Indian citizen and want to visit Turkey, you should apply for a visa through the Turkish embassy in your country of residence. If you’re a Turkish citizen and want to visit India, you should apply for a visa through the Indian embassy in your country of residence.
There are three types of visas that can be issued to Indian citizens: tourist, business, and medical. A tourist visa allows visits for up to 180 days but can be extended up to six months multiple times. A business visa allows visits for up to six months but can be extended up to one year multiple times. A medical visa allows visits for up to thirty days but can be extended up to one year multiple times.
To apply for a Turkish visa, you must provide your passport number, name (including middle name if any), date of birth, nationality, sex, occupation, address in Turkey (or place of permanent stay if outside Turkey), contact numbers in Turkey (include phone number), proof of financial stability (if applying for a business or medical visa), and two photos. Applicants are also required to submit an application fee and undergo a health check.
Turkish visas are valid from the date of issue and must be used within three months from the date of issuance or they will expire automatically. How to Apply for a Turkey Visa
There are two ways to apply for a Turkey visa: through an embassy or consulate, or at a Turkish border crossing.
If applying through an embassy or consulate, you will need to submit your application form, passport photo, and payment receipt. The application process can take up to three weeks.
If applying at a Turkish border crossing, you will need to provide your passport and visa application form (available at the border crossing). You will also need to provide copies of your passport identification page and visa pages, as well as your ticket out of the country. You will be required to pay a fee at the border crossing.
